We are delighted to announce our exciting plans for the Cavendish Pavilion.
View Proposed Ground Floor Plan and Elevations
From Friday 6th January until April 2012, the Cavendish Pavilion will be closed for refurbishment; however drinks, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, soup and cakes will be available from the Wooden Bridge Lodge just next to the cattle grid at Sandholme car park. Pop in for a cuppa and look at the refurbishment plans on our architects’ drawings and mood boards.
The ‘new’ Cavendish Pavilion will retain its traditional principles of excellent value, home cooked food and a warm, friendly environment, whilst improving its design with a more structured layout, comfy seating and additional outside space for the summer months.
The external alterations will comprise of large glazed doors to allow more light and for guests to enjoy a feeling of being closer to the countryside whilst inside, as well as a small express takeaway for anybody who would like to pick up an ice cream or beverage to take away.
Inside, the changes will see a whole new layout of the riverside cafe: With the food service areas and tills confined to one end, leaving the remainder of the cafe for seating. The layout of the food counters will encourage visitors to move around the cafe easily, and the introduction of four till points will ensure that you are served as quickly as possible. The inside seating areas will include a cosy ‘snug’ area with deep squashy sofas.
The food and drink on offer will remain simple fresh Yorkshire produce at affordable prices, and of course a hearty selection of hand-made cakes as a well-deserved treat after a stroll around the estate.
